On the 5th of December 2022, Ictual officially acquired its ISO 27001 certification for information security regarding the development, implementation, training, sales, and management of software solutions. This certification ensures our preparedness for the highest standard of security for data processing operations within our organization.
As attempts and incidents related to data breaches become all too frequent, attaining this certification allows us to express our commitment to information security easily and in an unbiased manner.
Given our experience and policies already in place regarding information security, we were able to complete certification within just 10 months with solid determination and focused team effort. It's a big move that demonstrates our commitment to providing an environment where sensitive and confidential data is safe and well-guarded for our customers and ourselves.
So what is ISO 27001?
“ISO 27001 provides a framework to help organizations, of any size or industry, protect their information in a systematic and cost-effective way; through the adoption of an Information Security Management System (ISMS).”
Certification is provided only after rigorous information security audits by an accredited certification body. The basic goal of ISO 27001 is to protect three aspects of information(data):
Confidentiality: only authorized persons have the right to access information.
Integrity: only authorized persons can change the information.
Availability: the information must be accessible to authorized persons whenever it is needed.
